Privacy Policy

This notice explains what personal data Music Studio Pro collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. Data controller

2. What data we collect
Account data
Name, email address, and password (stored only in encrypted form, never in plain text) at the time of registration.
Content and projects
The music projects you create (genre, mood, BPM, key, lyrics, director's notes), the audio tracks generated or uploaded (including any vocal/instrumental recordings you upload via the Overlay Recorder), and the parameters used to generate them.
Usage data
Number of audio generations and AI lyrics performed in the month, and plan tokens consumed, to apply your plan's limits.
Technical data
A session cookie to keep you authenticated (see the Cookies section) and, in case of failed login attempts, a temporary counter for security purposes.
3. Why we process your data
- To provide the service you requested: creating your account, generating and saving your tracks, applying the limits of your chosen plan (performance of a contract, GDPR art. 6.1.b).
- For account security: temporary lockout after failed login attempts, sending verification and password-reset emails (legitimate interest, GDPR art. 6.1.f).
We do not use your data for third-party advertising and we do not sell it to anyone.
4. Who we share data with
To run the service we rely on the following providers, who process data on our behalf:
- Vercel — application hosting and storage of generated audio files.
- Neon — database where accounts, projects, and tracks are stored.
- kie.ai — audio generation engine: receives the track parameters (style, lyrics, duration) needed to produce the audio.
- Anthropic — AI engine used to generate lyrics, ideas, and production breakdowns when you request them.
- Resend — sending of transactional emails (account verification, password reset).
None of these providers is authorized to use your data for its own purposes.
5. Transfers of data outside the EU
Some of the providers listed above (in particular kie.ai, Anthropic, Vercel, Neon, and Resend) are based, or have infrastructure, in the United States, and may therefore process your data outside the European Economic Area. When this happens, the transfer is carried out in compliance with articles 44-49 of the GDPR, through the safeguards provided by law — such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or, where applicable, the provider's adherence to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
6. How long we keep data
We keep your account and project data for as long as your account remains active. If you request account deletion, we delete the data within a reasonable time, except where legal obligations require longer retention.
7. Your rights
At any time you can ask us to:
- access the data we hold about you;
- correct it if inaccurate;
- erase it ("right to be forgotten");
- receive it in a portable format;
- object to the processing or request its restriction.
By writing to privacy@makermusic.ai. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali, www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the supervisory authority of your own EU country of residence.
8. Cookies
We use a single cookie, msp_session, strictly necessary to keep you authenticated after login. It is not a profiling or marketing cookie, does not require consent under ePrivacy rules, and we do not use third-party cookies for advertising or analytics.
9. Security
Passwords are stored with bcrypt hashing (never in plain text), sessions use protected cookies (HttpOnly, Secure), and all communications occur over HTTPS.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice over time. The date at the top of the page shows the last update.
