MAKERMUSIC

A CLOSER LISTEN

Analyze your song. Hear what changes.

Bring your own recording or a version edited in your DAW. MakerMusic saves it to your project and helps you inspect the sound, edit it and compare the result with the original.

For Base and Studio subscribers only. Not available on the Free plan.

Measure your song

Check loudness in LUFS, peaks, dynamics and silence. Get tempo and key estimates to help guide your next edit.

Explore the frequencies

The average spectrum and sampled spectrogram show how energy is distributed and how it changes across the song.

Edit and compare

Use the 31-band equalizer, trim a section and add fades. Save a new version and compare A/B, matching loudness when measurements are available.

From your file to a new version

  1. Upload your file: the song is saved to your project before analysis begins.
  2. Inspect the measurements and listen. You can also import a version edited outside MakerMusic.
  3. Save edits as a new version while keeping the original. Use “Sing over it” to record vocals, subject to your plan’s features.

Measurements alongside listening

Tempo and key are estimates: always check by listening. The spectrogram is a sampled view, not a real-time tool. Stem separation for imported songs is not included in this lab.

Import MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, M4A, AAC and WEBM files up to 100 MB; decoding depends on your browser. Versions created in the lab are saved as WAV. Your original file stays unchanged.
